As a part of strengthen and extending our construction expertise Offshore we are looking for a strong profile to manage the substation area with great expertise and professionalism.
The construction department is involved in tendering, responsible for project planning and project execution of all offshore projects. The construction department is an ambitious and result oriented team with different educational backgrounds and different industrial experience.
Responsibilities and Tasks
You will have the overall responsibility for substations on all our offshore projects.
Moreover, your areas of responsibility and work will be:
- General technical sales support on offshore wind farm projects
- Participation in presentation/clarification meetings with customers (primarily utilities)
- Prepare replies to project tenders, including preparation of contractual reservations
- Develop and maintain relations with potential sub suppliers
- Develop cost basis for quotes, tenders and contracts
- Design of tender material for sub contractor tenders
- Develop and present materials for design reviews
- Perform highly complex analysis, test, design and/or development.
- Analyze project requirements and develop detailed objectives and detailed planning, conceptual designs and risk analysis
- Provide technical guidance and direction in the design, test, production and maintenance phases of a project
Qualifications and Work Experience
You hold a degree in electrical engineering and you have a strong technical background combined with minimum 5 years of professional experience in project management. Additionally, you have experience in site management and the execution of large-scale, preferably international projects. Experience in the area of turnkey project management from the wind, power plant or construction business will also prove to be an advantage. You have a solid financial knowledge as well as an excellent knowledge of contract/claim management. You are a strong negotiator and able to keep an overview of complex tasks. Furthermore, you possess outstanding communication skills as well as excellent English skills both orally and in writing.
Moreover, we expect that you have experience with:
- Distribution or transmission systems to identify deficiencies
- Applying knowledge of substation and distribution or transmission systems in planning, design, and/or construction
- System engineering analysis tools (PSS/E, DigSilent) and processes
- Electrical equipment or design contractors specialised in the areas of HV & EHV Substations
- Interfacing and co-ordination with other Disciplines
- International Standards Computer literate, and familiar with at least project planning tool
- European and UK electrical safety regulations
- FERC regulations, grid interconnect codes, IEEE standards and product compliance standards (UL, CSA, CE)
