About the client:
With experience since 1997, the client is an independent wind energy services provider that combines managerial expertise, technical capability and wind business knowledge to provide a wide range of Wind Energy Services. Their "know-how" comprises Pre-Construction, Construction and Project Management of EPC ("turnkey") projects plus Operation and Maintenance, based on 30+ wind farms across 6 countries, totalling 500+ MW.
They are seeking to recruit an “Authorizing Engineer” under the UK Wind Turbine Safety Rules (BWEA).
Job Specification: The candidate must have been “Authorized Technician” (Wind Turbine Safety Rules) for at least 1-2 years.
The candidate must have:
1. Experience producing AWPs, Methods Statements, Risk Assessments, Work Procedures, Management Instructions, COSHH, company policies, etc for Wind Farm Operation and Maintenance under BWEA (Renewables UK) Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
If the candidate has not experience on this, at least should be fully familiar with them and confident enough that could be able to produce/maintain/update these company documents.
2. Experience producing Quality, Environment and Health and Safety Management Systems for a wind farm.
If the candidate has not experience on this, at least should be fully familiar with them and confident enough that could be able to produce/maintain/update these company documents.
The successful candidate has to be based in Inveraray, Scotland, or nearby and will be in charge of a small wind farm of 9 wind turbines.
The candidate will have the following duties:
• To perform Operation and Maintenance works as a Technician.
• To manage the wind farm team of technicians, being part of the team within the Work Rota, covering on-call works outside normal working hours.
• Extra hours are compensated with time off in lieu only.
• To maintain all records related to undertaken works.
• To review availability reports (advance Excel spreadsheets user).
• To prepare reports, manage spare parts and consumables, being responsible of the team performance.
• To manage and communicate with the Client and coordinate subcontrators.
• To independently run the O&M works of the site.
Salary: GBP 30,000 – 35,000
