Overview
All companies are facing pressures of making energy efficiency a key element of their strategy, driven by growing environmental pressures, the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) and the steady rise in fuel prices.
Translating this into real change requires effective measurement, and analysis of complex data from multiple sources of plant, meters, and machinery that are their everyday infrastructure. Understanding the information and translating this into actions delivering an energy strategy, efficiency solutions, intelligent energy use and cost savings is the next challenge.
A leading property company driven by its own needs across its multimillion pound commercial portfolio, working with some of the industry’s leading energy specialists, systems integrators, and software and hardware developers has launched one of the most advanced energy management services available today.
The Role
Delivered by a new and exciting brand, led by a young energetic and highly experienced team, attracted from some of the country’s leading retail brands the company is now expanding the team to include an Energy Analyst.
This role is for you if you are stuck in a traditional transactional engineering, FM or energy service company constrained by an ‘in a box’ consultancy approach but you really have the passion to provide your clients with specialist value, have ideas and the personality to win on service not price and want to create solutions that clients will derive true benefit.
What you need to be able to demonstrate
• Analytical skills
• Can interpret and analyse information to identify issues and opportunities.
• Can interpret extensive amounts of raw data and identify trends.
• Can transform raw data into visually compelling and easily digestible messages.
• Is logical thinker yet challenges the norm and pushes the boundaries.
• Understands the important elements of engaging with prospective clients
• Understands the importance of deadlines
Experience
• Has a minimum of 2 years experience within the energy sector
• Has had direct experience of analysis within the energy market
• Has some previous experience of ‘selling and marketing’ through analysis
• Also has knowledge of gas and water consumption as well as electricity
• Must be computer literate with advanced excel as well as word and powerpoint skills
